An Australian organisation must sponsor you before you are able to apply for this training visa. The sponsor must apply also to become an eligible one and get a corresponding Sponsor status which is valid for up to 2 years.
STAGE 2 – NOMINATION
The nomination of the position to be filled by an applicant. Nomination is the stage where the sponsor provides details about the nominee (intended trainee), the purpose or type of training and how and where the training will be undertaken.
- Occupational training required for registration
- Occupational training to improve skills in an eligible occupation
- Occupational training for capacity building overseas. This includes overseas qualification, government or professional support.
STAGE 3 – VISA
Personal visa application by the nominated applicant and any accompanying family members as appropriate. The maximum validity period of Australian Subclass 407 visa is two years.
